Cookies Policy
Last updated: 27/09/2026
1. Definitions and Use
Cookies are small data files that websites may store on a user's device.
JIGADORES also uses browser storage technologies such as localStorage where necessary.
Cookies, localStorage and server-side sessions are different technologies and should not be treated as the same thing.
JIGADORES uses these technologies for purposes including:
- Authentication;
- Security;
- Age confirmation;
- Cookie preferences;
- Essential website functionality.
Optional categories are controlled through the JIGADORES Cookie Preferences system.
2. Categories Used
2.1 Essential
Essential technologies are required for the website to operate correctly.
They may include:
- Authentication/session cookies;
- Security-related cookies or identifiers;
- Age-verification storage;
- Cookie-consent storage;
- Essential application state.
Essential functionality cannot be disabled through the JIGADORES Cookie Preferences interface.
Disabling all cookies at browser level may prevent authenticated or restricted website functionality from operating correctly.
2.2 Age Verification
JIGADORES stores age-confirmation state using:
jigadores_age_verified
The accepted value indicates that the user declared themselves eligible to enter the website.
The age-verification state may be stored in a cookie and localStorage.
The current implementation retains the age declaration for approximately one year unless deleted earlier by the user or browser.
The Age Gate is an age self-declaration and is not an independent identity-verification system.
2.3 Cookie Consent
JIGADORES stores the user's cookie preferences using:
jigadores_cookie_consent
The stored consent information may include:
- Consent version;
- Timestamp;
- Essential status;
- Analytics preference;
- Preferences category;
- Marketing/Affiliate preference.
The consent state may be stored using both a cookie and localStorage.
If the consent-policy version changes, JIGADORES may request the user's choices again.
2.4 Authentication and Sessions
Authenticated functionality may require secure session cookies generated by the authentication system.
Session cookies may use security attributes such as:
- HttpOnly;
- Secure when served through HTTPS;
- SameSite protections.
Exact internal cookie names may change as the authentication implementation evolves and are therefore not relied upon as permanent public identifiers.
2.5 Local Storage
localStorage may be used for limited application state including:
- Age-confirmation state;
- Cookie-consent preferences;
- Non-sensitive interface preferences where implemented.
Sensitive authentication secrets, Twitch client secrets, database credentials and server secrets are not intentionally stored in browser localStorage.
2.6 Analytics
Analytics is an optional category.
Analytics technologies must remain disabled until the user has provided the required consent.
At the date of this policy, JIGADORES does not intentionally load optional analytics scripts before consent.
If analytics services are introduced or enabled in the future, this policy and the consent interface should be updated where appropriate.
2.7 Preferences
Preferences is an optional category.
Where implemented, this category may store non-essential settings designed to improve the user's experience.
Preferences remain disabled by default until the relevant consent is provided.
2.8 Marketing / Affiliate
Marketing / Affiliate is an optional category.
Where implemented, these technologies may be used for purposes such as:
- Measuring referral activity;
- Affiliate attribution;
- Understanding whether a user followed a promotional link.
This category remains disabled by default where consent is required.
External partner websites may set their own cookies after the user voluntarily leaves JIGADORES and visits the partner's website.
Those cookies are controlled by the respective third party and are subject to that party's own policy.
3. Technical Data and Server Logs
In addition to browser storage, normal website infrastructure may process technical information such as:
- IP address;
- User-agent;
- Relevant request headers;
- Access timestamps;
- Error logs;
- Security information.
This technical processing does not necessarily involve storing a cookie on the user's device.
Server logs and browser cookies are separate technologies.
4. Purposes
Cookies and similar technologies may be used for:
- Maintaining authenticated sessions;
- Protecting account security;
- Remembering Age Gate confirmation;
- Remembering cookie preferences;
- Providing restricted website areas;
- Maintaining necessary application state;
- Enabling optional analytics where consent exists;
- Enabling optional preferences where consent exists;
- Supporting permitted affiliate attribution where applicable and consented.
5. Cookie Preferences
When the user has passed the Age Gate and no valid consent preference exists, JIGADORES displays a Cookie Consent interface.
The available categories are:
- Essential — Always Active;
- Analytics — Optional;
- Preferences — Optional;
- Marketing / Affiliate — Optional.
The user may choose:
- ACCEPT ALL;
- REJECT NON-ESSENTIAL;
- MANAGE COOKIES.
Optional categories are OFF by default.
Users can later reopen the preferences interface through in the website footer.
6. Consent Versioning
Cookie preferences include a consent-policy version.
Current version:
1
If JIGADORES materially changes its consent categories or relevant processing and increases the consent version, users may be asked to make their choices again.
7. Managing Cookies Through the Browser
Users may also delete or block cookies through their browser settings.
However, blocking essential cookies may prevent:
- Login;
- Session persistence;
- Age-verification persistence;
- Cookie-preference persistence;
- Other restricted features
from functioning correctly.
Deleting localStorage may also reset locally stored preferences.
8. Third-Party Websites
JIGADORES may link to Twitch, casino operators, partners and other third-party websites.
Once the user leaves JIGADORES, those websites may set their own cookies or tracking technologies.
JIGADORES does not control cookies placed by independent third-party websites.
Users should review the relevant third party's Cookies and Privacy Policies.
9. Amendments to this Cookies Policy
JIGADORES may update this Cookies Policy to reflect:
- Changes to website functionality;
- New consent categories;
- New optional services;
- Security changes;
- Legal or regulatory requirements.
The latest revision date will be displayed at the top of the page.
Where a change materially affects consent, JIGADORES may request consent again through a new consent version.
